The Recommend System allows students to recommend items to other students which is a great way to boost student engagement.

How Do I Configure the Recommend System

Navigate to General Settings > Student Interface and enable the setting labeled "Enable the Recommend System." Enabling this setting will display the following settings:

• Registration Field Filter - Select from the drop-down a registration field for which a student's values must match in order to see other students in their list of people to recommend items for.
• Can be recommended - If checked, the related item type will display a "Can be recommended" setting when creating a new item or editing an existing item.
• By default, value for Can be recommended is - If set to ""On,"" the related item type will automatically enable the "Can be recommended" setting when creating a new item or editing an existing item.

How Do I Enable Recommend System Notifications

Navigate to General Settings > Student Notifications and enable the setting labeled "Recommended Items".

How Do I Enable Recommendable Items

There are multiple item types that can be recommended in the LMS. The following instructions detail how to make various items types recommendable.

Online Training

• The Add New Content Wizard will display a "Can be recommended" setting in the "Content Options" portion of the wizard. If checked, the Online Training item will be recommendable.
• The Edit Content interface will display a "Can be recommended" setting in the "Content Options" tab. If checked, the Online Training item will be recommendable.

Online Test/Questionnaire

• The Add New Content Wizard will display a "Can be recommended" setting in the "Content Options" portion of the wizard. If checked, the Online Test/Questionnaire item will be recommendable.
• The Edit Content interface will display a "Can be recommended" setting in the "Content Options" tab. If checked, the Online Test/Questionnaire item will be recommendable.

Online Resource Document
